This unusual colored phantom cluster was mined on the island of Madagascar about 40 years.
Several pieces were discovered with flat plates of parallel crystals.
Not long afterwards, a hurricane damaged the mine and shut it down.
I continue to look for more pieces, but have seen only one since.
This green phantom plate comes with a custom steel easel for best display.
Layers of tiny epidot particles create the unique coloration.
