Bismuth Rainbow Bridge #5

Description

Bismuth is a natural metal found as tiny crystals in the earth.
The naturally mined ore-crystals are usually under 1 mm wide- almost too small to see.
The bismuth ore is melted and purified, then crystallized into pure metal shapes.
The silvery color rapidly oxidizes during the heat of formation, yielding a play of rainbows across every surface.
Occasionally, these home-made or factory-made crystals will weigh up to a pound, but usually less.

Each surface reflects a myriad of colors that change as you turn the stone.
A typical piece will look like a stepped-Mexican pyramid from one or more angles, and will display exotic bridge-like shapes from 3 or 4 different views.
A bismuth specimen has 9 views in total- 5 sides and 4 angle views.
