		DESCRIPTION	This unusual treasure comes from the mines of mysterious Brazil. Unlike most quartz specimens, this one forms true stalactites (grown from the ceiling of a cave, and all in parallel.) The original formation was from drip-type calcite stalactites, also called "soda straws." A secondary growth of quartz crystallized around the existing straws, to form multifaceted, shimmering rows of crystals. Inside the clear crystals are tiny blooms of cacoxinite, a dark gold mineral. An impressive presence when standing up, the Stalactite Forest looks like a city or forest of crystals when displayed flat.
